Keeping players/instruments in their proper spots

With rock band requiring alot of room i have it set up so the cords reach to their perspective spots, and player/position assingment seemed to be dead on to begin with. but now all of a sudden no matter what i do i cant switch the positions of the two guitars. they say the proper player connection but they end of in the opposite slots when joining the band to play.

any ideas? this hub seems to be glitchy too.

I'd just like to take this moment to point out that for the first time since I started posting on this forum, I'm glad I have this game and its wireless guitar for the PS3.
