Lateralus is the only one I see being viable. Prison Sex is great, but uh... title alone makes it something that probably won't make it.

I'd love to see Ticks and Leeches, drums would be pretty crazy and vocals to match. The whole song just is, i dunno how to explain it, just awesome lol. But again like people have said, they aren't too 'mainstream' with their albums and whatnot, so it wouldnt be a huge possibility

TOOL has been my favorite band since 93, now they jockey for poistion with Pink Floyd depending on my mood.

With that said i think i may be the ONLY TOOL fan who thinks Ticks & Leeches is overrated. :rolleyes: (although still a good song). Just of all the TOOL songs i never understood why people always want hear that one so badly.

Same goes for The Pot and Rosetta Stoned

not really TOOL is a big fan of Guitar hero and would have been in the second one but their management lagged on comminicvation with RO(plus they were/are on tour) so they didn't get back into time to make it in the game. So I wouldn't rule it out. I mean manyard hates everything but eveidently he hates music games less.

Hmm. Well im not going to hold my breath. I will say i remember there being nearly confirmed rumors of TOOL and Tenacious D pre GH2, but then both were absent. I could see it playing out the way you said.

The fact that Tenacious D is in GH3 is actually a good sign because they are good friends with TOOL. (watch mr show season 1 for some suprise appearances =P)

Yea, I was about to bring up his point. TOOL was supposed to be in GHII, but got mixed up somewhere along the way.

You guys got me all excited by what you wrote about how Tool might have almost been in GH2!


I'm surprised so many are suggesting Jambi, it would be a lot of hard (and a bit monotonous) work to play that song!

Heartily agree with all others in this post, in fact I wouldn't have started another post if I'd known this one existed. Tool MUST be a part of Rock Band, it just wouldn't feel right if they weren't. They just play so well together as a total band, every part feeds off the others, and I really think that would transfer over awesomely to RB. It would just be a freaking blast.

I really can't decide on one single song though, my true hope would be a career spanning song pack, like I think they're doing w/ Metallica. As for my favorite song that I think would work best and be most accessible, I'd have to say 46&2. Just awesome.

I also remember the issue that they were very close to getting in GH2, so hopefully all parties involved can make it happen this time around.

I hate all of Tool's stuff before Lateralus, as I don't like profanity(which is very, very abundant in their old stuff), and I also just don't think their old stuff is as musicaly interesting. I think something from Lateralus or 10,000 Days would be best. Some songs I'd like to see are:

Lateralus
Reflection(won't happen, due to the long beginning, but I love this song)

Come on now. Lateralus and 10,000 Days are fantastic albums but show some love to Opiate, Undertow, and Ænima.

What about Sweat, Cold & Ugly, Swamp Song, Crawl Away, 4degrees, Flood, Stinkfist, Eulogy, 46+2, Jimmy. All amazing songs.

But then again of all TOOL songs i still think that Jambi would be the best and most fun to play in a game like this. One of he few songs where Adam really lets it rip on the old geetar. =P
