View Full Version : The Strat has to be the WORST...

...manufactured controller ever.

My parents were in Florida, I asked them to pick me up a copy of Rock Band (since I live in Ontario). They just arrived today, I got my Rock Band, but right out of the box the Strat was faulty. Both upstrum and downstrum double-strummed, so it was only possible for me to 3-star or less a song (And some of those songs are really easy, and I'm a Guitar Hero veteran, so it's not too difficult for me).

What really sucks is now EA won't have anything to do with me since I'm in Canada. They said the game gets released in North America on the 20th -- Last time I checked, that includes Canada. I don't know what BS they're talking about with shortages, because my mother told me there were at least 50 copies for the 360 everywhere she went, so finding one was simple.

I just can't wrap my head around the fact that they would release a faulty guitar of piss poor quality, with a terrible strum bar that double strums every time, and now I can't even do anything about it.

I'm really unhappy and have lost almost all faith in Harmonix. I'm basically guitar-less now. I would fix it myself (or try to) but I don't want to void any potential warranty I might have (I better damn have!).

just use your ghIII controller, thats what I do and I'm gonna get a 2nd wireless ghIII guitar over christmas. Wireless is the way to go, especially if your bassist and guitarist love to rock out! ha ha!

There is a 60 day warranty on it. Go to there support site their sending me a new guitar in 2 days. So we at least know where all those extra standalone guitars, mics, and drum sets are. Sitting in a warehouse just in case something is faulty in the bundle. Glad they have a good back up bu they should have manufactured and mass produced everything to begin with; I love the fender guiar better personally (when it's working right obviously)

You shouldn't lose faith due to a spurt of unluck.

Spurt of unluck??!! Thats a lot of spurts then. My drums came DOA, mic has lag that should have been addressed, friends guitar died after one song. Met a person today in Best Buy that had their guitar break and their bass pedal broke. That is 3 for 3 out of the people I have met who bought this game, who have broken stuff in ONE day.

The instruments are VERY cheaply made and need to be recalled. I have to wait now for my drums and my guitar feels like its going and I played it for all of 2 hours so far. You can't blame people for getting upset that they may have just purchased a massive lemon of a game.

This only applies to Americans, unfortunately. In case you didn't see, I'm in Canada :)

So far it seems that every person on this board has issues with the equipment.
