Do RB 1 drums work with RB 2?

I know there is probably an answer to this somewhere but I have been unable to find it. I know the guitars work with both (or so I was told) but I don't know if the drums/ mic work with both.

Point is we have rock band 1 and I bought rock band 2 for my sis for X-mas and I need to know if I need to buy anything other than the game.
