RockBand 2 Deleting Rock Band 1 saves

I Played a little of Rock Band 2 and decided to just go back to Rock Band 1. I put in the Rock Band 1 disc and did the update. Once it was done I went to play solo tour and found that my Character, Band, and game progress was gone. My save was still on my hard drive, it just no longer had my character and so on, in it. Kind of lame. Not only do I buy what basically is a re-release of Rock Band for $60 but it erases my saves. Perfect.

I'm sorry, let me get this straight. You buy Rock Band 2. Somehow "the same game, but better" doesn't do it for you, and you try to go back to RB1 and your data is deleted.

Why don't you just... play... rockband... 2?
