Ah, the waiting game continues

Wife dragged me to the mall tonight and I ended up in EB Games while I was waiting. It beats parking your @$$ on a bench or milling about like the other old cranky guys. lol

Anyway, I was commenting to the clerks that I'd have to wait for my pre-order since they (apparently) shipped today. After verifying which game we were talking about, I was blown away that they had RB2 for Wii in already... but only the full band kits. My pre-order is for the game only. Burn!

Oh well, going to check back tomorrow and hope for the best. :)

The EXACT same thing happened to me!

Except, i pre-ordered my stand-alone at Blockbuster. (stupid me, shoulda gone with Gamestop like I usually do...)

Loxone, I'm in North Bay, Ontario (Canada) so I was surprised that they had the band kits already... we're about 3½ hours north of Toronto (~330km/155mi). I think I read Hiro's account elsewhere - if my EB Games tells me 26 December for the standalone game, I will demand my money back: this is my xmas gift FFS!

yea, they (gamestop) called me yesterday, and they told me it would be in today, but, now they tell me it is the 23rd. Then another Gamestop said it is coming today, so I'm very confused.

Blockbuster told me they don't get it till the TWENTY SIXTH.

Then again, their sign says that, but the same sign also says "Rock Band 2 Wii Bundle: Jan. 2" and they already have it so I don't trust them.

Well, checked both EB Games here in town tonight (along with Futureshop and Walmart) - no one has the standalone game. Why the fnck is that? I mean, you're looking at about six cubic feet for a band bundle... you could get over 400 standalone games in a similarly sized box. $200 vs $20,000? What's wrong with this picture???

I guess all pre-orders are not created equal.

I preordered the kit from Amazon months ago...originally said delivery mid-Nov I think, later changed to 5 Jan or thereabouts, then a week or so ago emailed me and said 23 Dec, then at 6:30 PM on the 18th the doorbell rang...RB2 arrived!!! Yay! :D
Now if only my many problems with it would get resolved...:(

I just checked the BB website, and it says they have it in stock in the best buy closest to me.
