Wii Rock Band 2 Drums Don't Work

I got Rock Band 2 for Wii today, and was displeased to find that my drums wont even turn on. The guitar and mic both work brilliantly, but I cant even get the light on on the drums.. Am I missing something, or am I the proud owner of faulty hardware?

Hmmm. Sorry to hear that. All I can offer is what you probably already know. 1) Did you put the batteries in. 2) Make sure the drum wi-fi unit is connected to your Wii. 3) Turn the drums switch to "on" underneath the center console. 4) push the small syncing button in the groove on the center console 5) push the drum button icon and you should be set. Hope this helps but you probably already did all this. If still doesn't work I would actually bring it back to the store and get a new set.
