rb1 songs to rb2 problem!!!

I have a xbox 360.
I bought the licence and put the rb1 disc to download the song too play them on rb2.
Everything was fine (they charge me and the transfer seems to have been done) but when i put the rb2 disc and start to play there is no rb1 songs.
just want to had there is no problem with my dlc songs, they appear in the list with all 84 songs of rb2 but not the ones from rb1!
Can anyone tell me what i have done wrong or how to fix this please!

I hate to ask the obvious question but I will:

Did you actually do the export after you downloaded the export key? The key itself does not put the songs onto your hard drive.

From the RB1 disc, select Options -> Export Songs.

Can I use my friend's RB1 game disk to import the songs onto my PS3 to use in RB2....even if he has already done this on his system?

My cousin was upset when he went to play Rock Band 2 today and discovered that all his downloaded songs and his imported Rock Band 1songs had somehow been deleted. We figured out how to redownload the purchased songs, but he is afraid he won't be able to import the Rock Band 1 songs again because he had to use a code the first time. Can someone please help us? This is for a ps3

Step 1: Start Rock Band 1
Step 2: Update to version 1.06 (I think that's the last version?)
Step 3: Quit game and go to the PlayStation Store
Step 4: Go to your Download History (upper right corner next to the Cart)
Step 5: Re-download the Rock Band Export Key
Step 6: Start Rock Band 1 again
Step 7: Go to Options -> Export Songs
Step 8: Profit?!
