With that said i 5 starred everything first try until i got to green grass and high tide. I failed my first 2 attempts roughly at the same part on solo 2 about 80% in. Well i read someone post that if you learn to tap that part with the solo frets its a life saver. So anyways i go into practice mode and start to use that portion of the guitar for the first time. It was really awkward at first just to adjust my fingers since they were so close together. After practicing the solo's for about an hour i started getting pretty good and "saw the light" of how this guitar is meant to be used.
Well after getting used to the concept of those buttons i went to try the song again. For the first half of the song i just played from the normal hand position since its easy to hit all those parts with normal ho's and po's. So anyways before the solo 2 starts up i switch my hand down to the solo buttons. So im not sure whats going to happen seeing how i just learned this tapping/sliding/sliding back and forth technique. Well i didnt do it perfectly, but i was able to pass the song fairly easily with 4 stars.
My point to people who are GH pros and turned off by the difficulty of the songs just learn to use those solo buttons. It will add a whole new dimension to playing guitar for this type of game. Just experiment and try anything you can think of. I mean just playing entire songs from down there is alot of fun IMO. Also im sure the degree of difficulty of songs wont be a huge issue with all the DLC coming out.
