buying guitar hero 3. I haven't even seen the disc since Rock Band came out. It could be lost. I don't know.... not too concerned either.

Though the Les Paul does make a nice bass. And considering I'm waiting on my replacement strat... it's nice to have some GH controllers as backups, even though I absolutely despise the way they feel now. I miss you strat.... I miss you....

I do like the Les Paul myself. But I sincerely doubt RB leaves my DVD tray for any other game within the next few months. :)

The other day my brother played GHIII, he said it just wasn't very fun. We proceeded to play Rock Band the next 15 hours.

Oh I know exactly where my GH3 disc is....it's behind teh counter at gamestop collecting dust. I traded that thing in a week before RB launched. but RB does leave my disc tray every once in a while....tto go over to a friends 360 for a few hours.

I finally took my Rock Band cd out of the tray and that's only because I'm watching The Big Labowski DVD. =p

Same here, and with a half busted Les Paul, my GH III has almost become worthless, hopefully the guitar can work decently until single guitars are released by HMX so I can buy another Strat and be happy.

I traded GHII plus $30 for a like brand new/used Les Paul .. works great in rock band. It actually doesn't trigger the power ups like the strat does. I still use the strat on occassion though.

One of the greatest things about RB: the boot times and load is significantly faster than any GH game. GHIII was brutal in that regard. Plus GHIII ruined co-op.

Love both GH and RB, but RB is WAY more fun now that co-op is back!

I wouldnt say GH3 was a waste of money by no means. Still a great game online if you like some good pro-face off matches. I have to admit though i have not played GH3 since i got Rock band lol. No doubt about it the co-op on this game is very addictive. Even friends of mine who had no interest in guitar hero are playing this game. You really get this false sense of security that you are all actually in a band. Great drinking and smoking game too lol.

Yah, GH3 was good simply to sharpen my guitar skills a bit and give me a Rock Band bass/back-up guitar, which since I got hit w/ the busted strum bar on my strat, will definately come in handy. But I have no clue at all when or if I will ever boot up the GH3 game again. Maybe the free dlc they just put out would be worth it, but hell not even sure about that.

If they'd patch GH3 to use the Strat I'd play it more. I'm just getting comfortable with the strat, and moving back and forth is kinda a pain.

That plus I only have two guitars, the Les Paul and the Strat, and I don't plan on dropping more on another guitar anytime soon. So if it comes down to that Activision won't patch the "unsupported guitar peripheral" issue, Mine will reside at GameStop before Christmas. Think they are giving an extra $5 or so for it right now as a promotion...
