All the talk about classic bands that need to be in the game has got me thinking. Are there artists / bands that we've totally forgotten? Some examples for me..

Veruca Salt - eg Volcano Girls

George Thorogood - Blues is underrated in this game. Think Texas Flood by SRV - songs like One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer or Ride On Josephine would work great in RB

Frank Zappa - Endless list of possibilities ... could never work without original masters though. I'm thinking something off Apostrophe or Overnite Sensation eg Uncle Remus or Fifty-Fifty

Sweet - my best choice here is Love is Like Oxygen (great guitar riff!)

Prong - Senseless Abuse would be a good one to play. Good for guitar, vocals and drums

Random thoughts - feedback encouraged

Cheers

The Offspring would be perfect for this game. Pretty much every song covers everything. Like All I want or Americana

Big Country, I've seen no one really mention them.

Since I think there is going to be a learning curve for this I was thinking The Rentals-Friends With P. It's an easy song on all the instruments but also would be great song to get used to everything.

No one has ever forgotten Zappa:mad:

Amen to that - although some of the youngsters could do with a Zappa education

Zappa's great. Coincidentally I bought an album of his today. A lot of youngsters today would probably have trouble spelling his name, let alone listening.

though i know it'll probably never happen, i really want to see slayer on the game. or some really heavy stuff. put a lil lamb of god on it, but not some horrible cover like in gh2, maybe slipknot? i know itd be hard for vocals but any metal head would love it and id love to do something like this.

Is 16 a youngster?...

Anyway, I could really do for some King Crimson or Dredg. King Crimson isn't/shouldn't be forgotten, and I just don't think people know who Dredg are... but yeah, I really want some Dredg in RB.

idk about kasabian, but i would love to see Live in the game.

The only song that I'd somewhat go with from Kasabian would be club foot, but I was just saying that people don't really mention them hehe. (most of their other songs are kind of weird).

Its amazing how many good Live songs there are that would be wonderful for this game, it's actually hard to choose just one.

i think Song for a baker-the Small Faces would be a good song for this game, there arent many vocalists better than stever marriot, i tell thee.

The Jam.

Seriously, Excellent guitars, drums, bass and vocals. Almost any Jam song would work.

Blur would be great, since other than THAT song, they're not well known here. Something like "Country House" or "Chemical World" would be fun to play.

Supergrass "Mansize Rooster". If that was in the game I'd die happy.

Also anything from the first two Eddie &The Hot Rods albums would be excellent.
