BWT vs Solo

So I've had my bundle preordered now for a month and I finally see its scheduled for delivery tonight so I haven't had a chance play anything yet. But my question is the difference between BWT and solo play. I know the obvious differences but I'm wondering more specifically about the player customization features. Can you create any custom characters at all or bring over a custom character from your BWT or are you stuck with some generic character? I know the game was created mainly for the full band feature and playing with friends however it still would be nice for the times my friends aren't over to still at least get to play with my personal character.

Whatever character you create is available for solo or BWT. I have 1 guitar-player-character, and she's in 3 different bands and has a blossoming solo career all at the same time... :lol:
(I also have 1 singer and 1 drummer, and they're members of bands and have solo careers, too ;) )

That's reassuring to hear. For some reason I was getting the sense that the custom characters were only available in BTW.

Yeah you can create your own character for solo mode and you can use that same character later on in BWT when you decide to start a band.
