Memory Foam?

Would a thin layer of Memory Foam on top of each drum set cut down on the noise?

To me, I think I would want something with a little more bounce to it than foam. From what I've seen on these forums, a mousepad cut to the size of the pads has been working pretty well. I think that's what I'm going to try.
