Just buy a simple USB hub. I'm sure you can get them for less than 10 dollars nowadays if you look in the right stores.
EDIT: Here is a good one. http://www.cnaweb.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=233
It was 13 dollars, I think but it has it's own external power source so it doesn't add any more heat in case you were worrying about putting more stress on your new system, even though the PS3 is very reliable.

Yes, the drums, mic, and guitar dongle all require usb ports...just buy a cheap hub as stated above.

if you still can find one on the shelves somewhere, try looking for the 60 GB PS3, it still has 4 USB ports, when they took the option of the 4 USB ports away from newer versions of the PS3 is beyond me, but i've got RB for PS3 the 60 GB model with 4 USB ports, and everything has been working swimmingly...not even a lag problem...i just keep hoping for a patch so that GH III controler becomes my new bass, but oh well. also i agree about the bluetooth, i understand it may be more expensive to liscence it or whatever, but really? i would have payed extra for no dongles...*sigh* if you can't find the 60 GB anymore, do the cheap USB hub fix...RB should really be shipped with the USB hub for PS3 anyway since many are going to go through this problem, if it can be provided at no extra cost for 360 and PS2, then why not throw it in anyway. eitherway, goodluck

I guess my main thing is...why the massive dongle? I mean you can fit wi-fi, atsc tv tuners, and 16 gigs of flash memory on a USB stick...tell me you couldn't cram the wireless guitar tech into a smaller package that doesn't dangle down in front of my DVR and prevent my remote from working.

Not sure if this is true, but I've been reading that the 80gb has 4 usb ports and it's the 40gb version that has only 2 usb ports.
I'll keep looking to see if this is infact true.

i dont know why the newer ps3 went with only 2 usb ports(going backwards???). mine has 4 usb ports and i can connect all rock band devices and a controller to it. . but yes a hub is suppose to work. i tried an old hub i had from several years ago, and i couldnt get it to work.
