..Harmonix am worried about RockBand for the Playstation 3 , i love how it looks soo far but still i have only seen it on a X360.. am worried you guys will make it great for X360 as its been seen in the videos so far.. please dont make a crappy port to ps3s.. i hate when devs get lazy and do that:( .. i know its a new console and its fairly hard to program for but that happens with all consoles in the beggining.. so in conclusion please dont make that mistake..

Same here, it could have a stupid "lolz use teh Wiimotez to bangle teh dwums!11!!!21@#" that's even more lazy. The only bad coming out of a crappy port to PS3 is graphics, and they have no matter.

I'd be fine with that, like all the instruments are wireless, and you can plug in the Wiimote to act as batteries, or just use batteries. Would be useful since I have that Nyko rechargable stuffs.

I wonder why they get lazy? Probably due to the high level of difficulty when it comes to programming for PS3/Blu-Ray, and the horrible tendency for one line of code to ruin others (which has been stated by numerous developers for the PS3)

How bout this, get a 360 or a Wii.

I like to wait before there's a new system. So i know if there's anything wrong with it beforehand or not. I just happened to get an Xbox first and now i guess we 360 users are going to get (not saying am, just saying might) get the better end of this. I still want a PS3, but just not now.

I will defo get a PS3 when the price drops, but not this year for sure. So I will buy RB on the XB 360 for now, as I already have an XB360 GH11 guitar. I don't intend selling my XB so will use both consoles, but for different game series.

I am not sure what RB can use from one console to another. But the songs will use the same format (generic to HMX) for both games, so they wont have to rewrite any song material, that will save a lot of time.

Maybe someone can correct me if I am wrong, but if PS2 peripherals work on the PS3 (controllers) then I guess even the PS2 guitars might work with RB on the PS3, that would be nice (as I have two hehe)

I would imagine its easier to design for the 360 first and then tinker it to the the ps3 instead of going ground up for both. Also most likely the ps3 version will look a little better so they show the 360 version so people dont get too high expectations graphics wise

Its not hard! its just developers are being introduced to a new system and they are not familiar with it , happens to all the new consoles..

New system aside, they had no problems making a whole load of release games for the 360, and they did it with ease. Sure they had to learn the new limitations and language, but they managed. With the PS3 it has been abnormally difficult to develop bug-free games and to develop games in general because the Blu-Ray is the biggest piece of garbage to come into existence since Segway Polo and the Pet Rock.

C'mon.. I think it's a little unfair saying that devs just get lazy.. At some stage you've got to get the game out, regardless.. There's only so much manpower you can put in you know?

I'm sure EA would love to have Madden running at 60fps, but what can ya do? IF the Rock Band ps3 version isn't quite as tight (for whatever reason) blame the console (in a non-fanboy way, as in accordance with the updated FAQ of course :D) but don't blame the devs, like they decided to just take a siesta and have a beer instead.

I've been a Harmonix fan since their very first game. Doing things half-assed isn't their way, so I expect PS3 users will be getting the same experience as 360 fans. I own all 3 new consoles, and I'll be getting this on the 360 simply because it will have more users online to compare scores with (or to join bands). I understand the fear of the original poster, especially after hearing how all the upcoming football games will run at 60 FPS on the 360 and 30fps on the PS3.
