Ok, I have satellite internet with a linksys wrt54g router. My nintendo wi-fi connection works just fine, and I can play GHWT online without any problems at all. When I try to get online with RB2, it doesn't connect to the Rock Central server. I try waiting for the three options in "Extras" to come up, and they never do. I try to force it to connect by selecting Online Tour, and again it connects to the Wi-Fi connection just fine, but takes forever saying "connecting to the Rock Central server", then says "you have lost contact with the Rock Central server". I tried to make my router a DMZ, but that didn't help. Opened the ports outlined in the manual, and that didn't work either. Tried combinations of port forwarding and DMZ, and they didn't work either.

Does anyone else have this problem? Or has anyone had this problem and found a way to fix it?

If there are any HMX guys reading this, PLEASE HELP ME! I'm getting desperate!

Oh, and it's not my disc, because I tried the game on my girlfriend's wii and her cable internet, and it connects just fine.

I've got the exact same thing going on. I have TCP ports 80, 443, and 13505, and UDP port 3645 forwarded to my wii, which is now on a static IP address, and the DMZ Hosting is set up for the Wii, and it still won't work. All 3 of the bottom options on Extras are grayed out, and trying to do an online tour connects to the Nintendo Wi-Fi, then tries to connect to the Rock Central Server, and then "You have lost contact with the Rock Central server." The only other thing I can think to try is to take my wii into the living room and connect it wired with the adapter, but I don't want to bother my grandparents with it. Any decent info on what else to try would be great.

Also, I'm using Qwest DSL, so it isn't just a satellite internet issue. Downstream Rate: 7168 Kbps; Upstream Rate: 896 Kbps

Also, same thing as in your other post: it works perfectly at my in-law's place, so it's got to be a router/port forwarding issue. Although they do have a different ISP as well.

I would recommend trying EA support. I haven't had the opportunity to call them, but hopefully I'll get it done tomorrow (if they're available) or Monday.

Reading comprehension ftw. Did you read the posts, or just see the words "wii connect" and assume we hadn't bothered looking anywhere else? We both gave very clear details on what we were trying to do, as well as the error we were receiving. "No Music Store Data Found" and "Lost Connection to the Rock Central Server" are DIFFERENT. Read before you post.

Sorry to everyone else about the rant, but those comments that aren't related to the discussion seem to be all there are on these forums. I still haven't gotten this to work yet, and I'm getting pretty frustrated. I'll play around with it some more tomorrow and, if it's still resisting, give EA a call. If anyone makes any progress, let us know!

not only are we trying to just play on line but some of the bran new rockBand2 do not even have the redemption codes listed on the back of the manuals and the webcode when tryn to link Rockband2 to wii says "This game code does not have any Rock Band data associated with it. Please try again."

RB2 Wii doesn't even NEED redemption codes for the free songs, they'll be in the store as free singles. Read around before you post things like that, it's all over the forums.

Ok, so I called EA support after emailing them, and I go through the automated menu and there's not even an option for the Wii. It asks what game, then what console, and comes up with 360, PS3, and PS2...no Wii. What the heck is up with that?

i have the same issue, but thank God i am going back to DSL this week.. The issue is obviously a latency issue. I currently have Hughesnet satellite, and its fast..the issue isnt speed tho, its latency (or lag). i play guild wars on my pc, which is hardwired to the satellite modem, and can play, but the ping i get is always 1000+ (yes, 3 zeros). I am thinking that the latency requirements for rockband are a bit too stringent for a high latency connection. i think the only way that this can be corrected is either you switch to dsl (i saw someone who had dsl in this thread with this issue, check your latancy too), or they lower latency requirements for rb2 (which i myself dont believe should be done) hope this helps :)

PS i did have dsl unil about a month ago and the online bits worked flawlessly with it.

unfortunately i do not think that is possible either. you need to be connected to Rock Central servers in order to do all of that. the only thing they will let you do with lag like that is buy stuff from them. lol. srry, am in the same boat as you for the moment. One thing you may try is taking your wii over to a friends house and hooking up to thier internet, and get your webcode and such.

well i just bought a Wifi Max thing to improve my connection and i havent gotten it yet but i think it will make it work.... the rock central thing just might be a bug in the game....we'll see...
