how do you export rock band one songs to rock band two. im having real difficulty.

Depends on the console.

For Xbox, you need the RB1 disk, get the update, go to the Music Store and pick the export option.

For the PS3, there is a license in the PSN store I believe.

For the Wii and PS2, you don't have that option.
