Well i agree that this is ROCK BAND. NOT RAP BAND and I'm a huge hip hop fan. Now with that being said I just took in a live Ghostface Killah concert and he was backed by an all live band called the Rythym Root Allstars. Yes, It could be done. Should it be done? Maybe in another game iteration from Harmonix letting you use live instruments to play the songs. But right now lets focus on Rocking out!

would more less need to be mainstream (c)rap to even be able to rhyme with... it's typically all the same and easy to sing along to. any true hip hop added to the list would either need to be original hip hop from the 80's (which would be interesting) and new underground hip hop, which would be too damn difficult to rhyme over... try aesop rock for instance, i think i'd pop a vessel in my head before finishing a song on easy difficulty.

I'm not going to pretend that I read all 7 pages here, but why does it have to be so black and white. There's plenty of bands that bend genres enough that there could be rap songs that still rock. Helmet's "Just Another Victim", Body Count (Ice T's band), Crazy Town, Hed(P.E.), Gym Class Heroes, House of Pain, MC Lars's "Hot Topic Is Not Punk Rock". Just a few off the top of my head.
