So, I called the store that I bought Rock Band from, and they claim that EA will not allow them to take returns, no matter what the reason, and that I would have to go through EA to get my money back. Does anyone have any idea where in god's name this is done on that website? I called customer support and the guy was so clueless and foreign, I just had to hang up. I couldn't take it.

I just don't think it's worth the money I paid for it and want my money back. Unless anyone wants to buy it and is close to me (New Philadelphia, OH)...That would probably be easier.

Thanks for any info!

Thanks, Zeus, but unless I am completely blind, there is nothing on there to just get a full refund for the whole game.

I've already navigated my way through there to get a new drum pad....I want to just return the whole game now.

I'm returning mine as well if there is not a comment on a future guitar patch by the end of the day. I need the money more than an incomplete game.

Dude, don't accept that crap!! A store CANNOT tell you that you can't return a product that you're not satisfied with. Just put your foot down. I returned GH 3, due to the guitar not being backwards compatible, and I DARE Best Buy to try and tell me that I can't return RB because it doens't work as advertised!!!

Don't a lot of stores (walmart, best buy, etc...) refuse returns on opened games? Like, you can only get an exchange for the same game. I don't see why this policy would be different for rock band compared to any other console/pc game.

I'm returning mine at Wal-Mart today and I already called and they said they have already taken several copies back and they would be more than happy to take mine since our guitar broke within the 30 day return policy.

Well usually the policy is no return on open items specially electronics, games, cd's, dvd's, usually you can only excahnge for the same product.

Good I bought mine at wal-mart. From the looks of it that announcement on a patch will probably be never anyway. I'll just buy the game again in february when its a 4 player game and they've hopefully made a bass pedal and guitar that will last me longer than a week.

The only stores that will take anythign are Target, Wal-Mart and K-mart.

I would LOVE to return mine to Amazon. I was so sure this was going to be given the same Harmonix treatment as GH1&2, but something definitely changed within their organization because this whole Rock Band experience has left me VERY disappointed.

PS. Next time make a drum set where I can actually hear the TV over the sound of the sticks hitting the drums.

I got this all resolved...

The place I was dealing with was Game Crazy, and I actually got an EA representative to call the store and tell them to allow me to return the game for a refund. The guys at the store couldn't believe I got them to call...but, in my opinion, there was just no reason why I couldn't return it....

Kudos to EA for being so responsive, as this issue arised about 6 hours ago for me.
