The reason SSBB is laggy is because the gameplay system is so complex that it requires real-time input or something like that, as both players are fighting against each other at the same time or something like that. For Rock Band, I think it only detects whether the person is hitting the notes or not as well as the buttons they are pressing and if they are using the whammy bar.

Band Quickplay is like, where you find random people to play with, right?

And then if you quit and do it again you find another type of people.
