I am confused on what Overdrive does during BWT. It does not appear to double the multipler. I thought that maybe both players had to activate it at the same time, but that didn't seem to do it.

So how does it work? Is it only good for saving a player, or does it affect the score?

We were playing as a singer and guitarist BTW.

You get a band-wide multiplier for overdrive, represented by the 2x up in the top right corner where your stars are. The more band members activate their multiplier at the same time, the higher the band-wide multiplier will be.

Ahha! I'll have to look at that when I play tonight. Thanks for the tip!

And, for high scores, it's a great idea to play with a Bassist. They have a 6x multiplier, and if Bassist, Vocalist, and Drummer activate Overdrive at the same time, your Bassist has a 36x multiplyer, and your Vocalist and Drummer both have a 24x multiplier (provided they can keep it going at 4x).

Something else Sm0oka_Cola, Apples, Quastor, and I found last night is that if everyone completes a unity phrase, you all get half a bar of energy, instead of 1/4. Pretty awesome. Especially if your band is awesome. You know, like our band is.

Are the unity phrases normal overdrive phrases, or something different?

All three instruments get an energy phrase, bonus energy if everyone gets it.
