So, Harmonix/EA's official statement claims that the GH3 guitar does not function the same as a standard controller and that is why it doesn't work with Rock Band. However, this is a lie. The evidence is the fact that the controller works in the XMB. If it were the case that GH3 had come special code in it to allow the controller to work, then it would not function in the XMB. However, not only do the buttons work in the XMB, but the strumbar acts as up/down in the XMB. I don't know why Harmonix/EA insist on feeding lies and half truths to their consumer base, but it's silly.

It really isn't. The Guitar Controller doesn't use Open standard. Rock Band was programmed to accept it if it did. It doesn't, so it doesn't use it. You can jump to any conclusion you want, but if Red Octane wants the guitar to work with Rock Band, then it's up to Red Octane to do that. Visit www.redoctane.com, stop flooding the Harmonix forum with useless posts like this.
