Hey everybody, I need a little bit of knowledge on something: I love Rock Band, but the only thing I love more is DLC. I have a steady stream of DLC constantly flowing into my xbox 360 weekly, and I've started to notice something: my hard drive is reaching capacity. Theres seriously only like 1 gig left on there and considering I haven't picked up the AC/DC pack yet, this is a problem. So, obviously I need to buy a new hard drive, but I have heard that the Rock Band 1 disc only allows the export feature to be used once... if this is true, does that mean if I want to play my rock band 1 songs again in rock band 2 I'm going to have to buy a new disc? Or when you get a new hard drive do you transfer everything from one drive to the other including not only saves but dlc content as well? I'm unsure of the process I guess and don't really want to shell out a lot of money for the big hdd if it ends up costing me to have to buy a game again and I should have instead looked for an alternate solution. Any answers to either the export question or how the hdd transfer works would be greatly appreciated.

The transfer will move both DLC and save files. I transferred everything from my stock 20GB drive to my 120GB drive. It took a little while, but I didn't lose anything important (I think I lost one or two arcade games that came preinstalled on my system).
I exported RB1 prior to upgrading my hard drive, and I had no problems.

Thank you very much, that makes the decision to buy not even a decision at all but a must!

In a worst case scenario (say, your HD dies) you can do the export again without having to purchase another copy of Rock Band. The export key you paid $5 for shows up in your download history as "Rock Band Song Export Key" and can be re-downloaded as with any other DLC.

and then of course do the export from RB1 provided you didnt trade it in, or have a friend who has it/rent it
