How do I play the stand alone version of RockBand on PS3?

When shopping this weekend I noticed that there were a lot of copies of RockBand on PS3 available as a stand alone product. How do people who bought this game play it? Will any other guitars or mics work at all? What about drums?

at this time, nobody makes drums for the ps3. harmonix will not be releasing their drums until february with all the other hardware. I would assume that a mic for kareoke revolution would work but not possitive on that one, and right now, the guitar hero one doesnt work. You could always try the ps2 one because that was set up using controller configuration. The problem is you would need to buy a usb adapter for it.

Story goes like this: you can only play vocals on PS3 right now with the standalone game, by using a USB mic (yes the Logitech Karaoke Revolution mic works).

No guitars or drums outside of the special edition work for PS3. Don't start another thread on this.

What are you the forum police. People can complain about what they want including the crappy release of this game. This is almost as bad as the first VISTA release.

hes just saying that there are a million threads on this subject. it gets kind of annoying to see them spamming the forums. Theres a search button at the top. Good luck with finding working instruments
