If your still on the fence about this movie because of bad reviews, do not listen to the critics. This movie is very emotional. While their is only one alien, this movie may appear to be an "alien invade earth" kind of flick. TDTEST doesn't show aliens decapitating humans. It is more like the struggle for humanity against an familiar opponent. This "familiar opponent" I cannot tell you, for it will ruin the movie. But this is nothing like "Mars Attacks" or other Alien vs. Predator. I even caught myself nearly crying in theators.

Overall, this is a great movie. And I would see it over Quantom of Solace.

If your deciding between:

Yes Man
Bedtime Stories
The Day the Earth Stood Still

I'd still have to pick Yes Man or Bedtime Stories. Only because the plot is fresh, and features two major actors in Jim Carrey and Adam Sandler. Keanu Reeves plays his part very well though. And is a must see if you've already seen Yes Man or are not interested in Bedtime Stories.

Its nothing like the original, which is a classic movie in the history of film. This one just shows how bad movies are nowdays. Orignial was about Cold War politics by talking before taking irreversable actions, to keep paranoia from setting in and except the unknown, as it could lead to better things.

The remake shows the complete opposite of this to a point where its Aliens vs Humans in an intergalatic war

lolwut?

It shows 1 alien. Their aren't "alien blasters", no "mind controlling devices". Did you even see the movie? I saw it yesterday, and you are completely incorrect. Then again, I wouldn't expect anything else from you.

The only real difference is the original was about the problems at that time. In TDTEST, It is about the

** SPOILER ALERT**

Aliens coming to Earth to stop the destructive behavior of the humans.

Well, you were "boycotting" the forums for the log-in issue. Am I not correct?

I don't have a problem with you, but I just hate when people jump to conclusions. Sorry.

I'm convinced the forums would've been fixed whether you boycotted or not, personally. No point boycotting something to get a company to do something it's probably already trying to do after all. :D

You made statements about the movie without seeing it?

That's like saying Fall out boy sucks, while only having heard 2% of their discography. Dumb

OK then, i have heard 90% of fall out boy's music, and in my opinion, they suck. Doesn't mean that it is fact, just means that i am not fond of that brand of music. ( Any-way ) On Topic I thought the movie was pretty good. Doesn't stand up to the old one, in terms of plot. But it does stand well on its own.

I'm looking forward to these hitting the DVD market in a few months. There's no way I'd be able to pay $10 to go see each movie I want to see right now, but come March-June, I'll be able to pay $10 and see all the movies I want to see. :D

$1 rental kiosk is win.

I wasn't suggesting Fall out boy was good... merely showing an example of a ridiculous, basis less opinion.

I saw this in IMAX a few days ago with my father in which me and him watched the original about a day earlier and we enjoyed it.

Even more Glad I went though because now me and my dad have plans to go see the "Watchmen" in IMAX when it comes out...
