no sub woofer signal with dolby digital.

Everything runs perfectly with dolby, except for the sub woofer. Nothing comes out of it. When I turn it off dolby, the sub works.

Anyone else having this problem?

I had this same problem & I solved it through my reciever. the problem with mine was that if the front and rear speakers were set to "Large" then the sub wouldn't work. I don't know if thats the same term with yours, but if you have a Sony than it should be. Make sure to set your front and back speakers to small.

This fixed my problem. I'm glad I searched the forums, cause it was quite annoying.

There is often a setting in the receiver that you can tell it to use the sub even if you have large speakers. It took me a little to find that on my pioneer, but it was there. Once I set the sub to "both" or something like that I was able to keep my large speaker setting and still take advantage of the sub.
