Just curious, but do you need to ship the guitar back with the receipt to avoid getting charged for a replacement? As the game was just released, clearly the product is within the 60 day warranty program. With all the boxes and papers and such, I can't seem to find my receipt, so it would be a huge bummer if I had to buy a whole new guitar because of this...

it was never stated online and agents have no idea what they are talking about when you call. I would wait for the new equiptment which will most likely have instructions on how to return the part. if there are no instructions, do not include a reciept

If they needed a receipt it would have been pointed out during the return process. As long as they receive the defective device back, they should be happy.

that would suck if they required it, but if the problems are big and widespread enough, they cold pull a MS and accept the bad ones for longer than the stated 60 days.

Nobody has needed a receipt yet. I expect a receipt will be needed after the game has been released for 60 days.

they better be extending warrenty's on everything. otherwise i might send back all my stuff on day 50 and say its broken as a precaution. My guitars strum bar has become so loose it scares me

I believe Best Buy will track your purchase history if you gave them a credit card number of telephone number. Ask them.
