View Full Version : Should I buy Turtle Beaches?
For those who don't know, Turtle Beaches is a gaming headset for 360. You can hear the game through your headset, pretty much. The X3 Turtle Beaches are about 99.99 but my friend told me they break within a month. And that the X1's are better, but they still break. Any tips on which one I should buy?
Money's not the issue. I have 100$ so I can buy either one, i'm asking about quality.

no clue, I know turtle beach makes quality pc soundcards but that's about my extent with the company. Why not buy the microsoft headset that's alot cheaper, sure they aren't made to last but I've had mine around a year. Also might wanna check out Newegg.com, just look up the product if they have it and see what the buyers have said about the products.

i pictured a little rock for a turtle inside a turtle tank. this is what i get for working at a pet store.
id say dont invest in something that is likely to break quickly :-)

I'd actually recommend the X2's. They're wired and (in my case at least) lasted me a good year, and it's relatively easy to hook it up to not only your Xbox, but your PC as well. The X3's are very high quality though, sound great, and have lasted me about 5 months now with no problems (they didn't have any more X2's at the local store). Drawbacks? Built in headset doesn't work with RB instruments (all versions of the headphones) and it eats through batteries relatively quickly if you play a lot (wireless, naturally).

i have the X1s and they are awesome! I never have to worrie about batteries bc they are wired, they sound great, however like what has already been said you cant talk to people online while playing RB with them bc they dont connect, tho you still can use them while playing to hear the songs(which is a billion times better than tv speakers). My RB enjoiment has tripled bc of the X1s.

no they suck, there is a lot of hissing noise and you can't hear other peoples voices very well.
