View Full Version : Rock Band Guys and Gals
Do they read all the suggestions that we post on here? Not sure if this is just for our entertainment or are they actually reading and listening to things we say. Obviously there is the whole legal thing that they need to work out with the artists and the labels and what not but would be nice if we had some feedback from the devs if a song/artist has a chance to be added based on our suggestions.

I'm pretty sure it's just for our entertainment.
Especially since they still have a list of 5000 songs that they want in the game.
I trust HMX. They've shown that they, for the most part, have excellent taste, so far.

Yeah, so far they have put together pretty good songs in their games. But wouldn't it be nice if they picked songs the people wanted? Instead of songs they want.

The thing is that they are listening and appeasing the crowd by the songs that they've picked.
I don't know about anyone else, but I still have Frequency and Amplitude-- two games that HMX put out A WHILE before RB. A number of really great songs where in Amplitude, some of which included artists like blink 182, David Bowie, Pink, and P.O.D.
I've seen Blink182, POD, and Run DMC all wanted again on RB, and frankly they have gotten the rights before, so they are probably in that 5000 song list.
Obviously, legality is an issue, but financially they aren't going to release all of it at once. That's just plain stupid. You create hype, build a want, and then appease the public for what they are crying out the most for.
Think about it: If you have 5 bands in your head, and they released all of them at once, you'd get kind of bored playing them all so much and want something different. Then you'd start asking for those.
They are creating a longer replay value for this game by releasing songs and packs slowly rather than a million and one songs all at once.

No the people definantley have some kind of effect
I saw people suggesting "Welcome home" "Flirtin with disaster" and "Green grass and high tides" all the time before they were announced for the game
