My family came over for Tanksgiving and we played a lot of Rock Band. Eventually, I convinced my Mom to sing for the band, and the results are hilarious and awesome

Enter Sandman (http://youtube.com/watch?v=Fo3PSRtWknE)
Wave of Mutilation (http://youtube.com/watch?v=Hs-TT80tLu8)
Vasoline (http://youtube.com/watch?v=ouhakPZsjfo)
Sabotage (http://youtube.com/watch?v=9V68SdnVCbM)
Blitzkreig Bop (http://youtube.com/watch?v=KZmKwL93ND4)

edit: #6 is ready:
Say It Ain't So (http://youtube.com/watch?v=ccSTch2RHj8) (Also includes sweet guitar rocking)

edit: the last 2 videos are uploaded:
Tom Sawyer (http://youtube.com/watch?v=XD2A0yYxBAE)
The Hand That Feeds (http://youtube.com/watch?v=BEWsaJMIgbk)

I hope this inspires everyone to post more videos. Let me know what you think.

Yeh that's awesome! If you had told me a year ago that in a year my wife would be singing Ozzy, The Ramones and the Pixies, I would thought you were crazy. YES, Rock Band is definitely cross-generational!

Thats great stuff there. Your mom rappin the B-Boys is priceless. How you were able to get through that set without falling down and drowning in your own tears from laughter is beyond me. Big UPs to your mom though. She's a trooper. I had my wife singing on Thanksgiving and it was horrid.

Remember - you'll get better sound and response if you sing closer to the mic!

Sabatage is the funniest video I've seen in a while. I'm with MaxMeanie, I would have been laughing too hard to finish the song.

Thanks for the tip :). In fact, in the Hand That Feeds video (not yet posted) you can see me telling her to hold the mic higher.

I hope everyone at HMX enjoys the videos :)

wouldn't adjusting the mic sensitivity level int he options menu be more ideal?

My mother was doing the Hetfield growl during Enter Sandman. It was all I could do to not fail the song.

Great vids. :)

I love the look of utter annoyance from your dogs at the beginning of the Blitzkrieg Bop video. Also, your mom is much cooler than mine, since the latter would only sing Foreplay/Long Time.

Seriously buddy. Put the camera down. Prop it up and leave it alone.

There is absolutely no reason to pan around. Get everyone in the shot and just leave it alone.

Gah.

Ha! Funny videos. I like how she kept getting surprised when the verses would start on Enter Sandman.

That just reminded me... When my family was over for Thanksgiving, I was doing random songs with my mom (me on guitar, her on vocals). And Justice for All came up... hilarious. (she did well though... except she has no rhythm for the bonus sections)

that sounds awesome, we'll have to try that one next time she visits.
