My sister tries the guitar tutorial before deciding to be our singer.

My nephew kept saying "drums...drums...drums...drums" until we let him play. We didn't have them enabled in the game, but he still kept pretty good time! At one point, he started playing quarter notes with one hand and eights with the other in beat to the song we were playing. We are a pretty musical family (my parents were music teachers, my sister plays the piano and oboe, and I used to sing professionally), so it looks like it's in his DNA as well.

In the end, we ended up with me on guitar (far right), my brother-in-law on bass (far left), my sister on vocals, and my nephew on drums (well, beating on them, anyway). My mom tried the drums briefly, but the pedal completely threw her.

Rock Band successfully passed the family test making it a party staple from here on out. (Funny enough, I figured we'd get tired and eventually switch to Guitar Hero, but this the only game we played all night.)
