Just brought the whole kit. Got everything I was suppose to, but the USB Hub doesn't seem to work. I found the instructions on another forum went thru that, and still nothing is working thru the USB Hub. All instruments work if I plug them thru the USB ports on the back of the Wii but not when they are in the Hub....Do I have screwed Hub, or did I miss a step in the set up???

Did you plug the USB hub's power adapter into a wall outlet?

It didn't come with a power supply, and doesn't have anywhere for the power supply to be plugged into.....

OK, so after doing a LOT of research, am I correct in saying that, I should have a power adapter to go into one of the four usb ports in the hub????

Can some one please just give me a yes or no answer, or an explanation...I can track them down..Its' just this was a part of my boys Xmas present, and it's something we can do as a family, and we haven't been able to play all Instruments at once since we got RB on Saturday.....

Thank you

I bought the Rockband 1 ( Not 2) bundle and have not had any problems. I simply plugged the 4 way USB splitter into the rear usb port of the wii and then plugged in the thing for the guitars, the mic, and the drums... Never had a problem ( There is no seperate power supply). When you plug the guitar usb into the 4 way splitter, does the light flash blue?

Make sure it is all plugged in before you turn on the Wii

Thanx for your reply, it is very much appreciated..

I re-tried it, and still nothing, when I plug the guitar dongle in the hub no lights, but when i plug it into the back of the Wii, we have lights.

So I assume, the Hub is faulty....Do I really need a RB Hub or can any one do, as long as it's powered?

I would assume any hub would do... But I'm honestly not 100% sure

Are you saying that the lights on your guitar aren't lighting up? I could be reading you wrong, but I do that a lot.

I was just wondering if you sorted this problem out as im experiencing exactly the same problem. Instruments will work in the usbs in the back of the wii but not from the hub. i replaced the hub by going back to GAME and it still wont work!!! Does the hub require a power supply cos mine didnt come with one for the hub?

Yes I have sorted this issue out, I brought a mains powered USB Hub. Mine is just for a PC, but it works perfectly :)

Now I just have to figure out how to get the second guitar!!!!!

The hub shouldn't have a power cord since its powered by the Wii's USB. I know the hub you are talking about that came with the special edition bundle. It may be faulty but I'm not sure.

ok thanks, I think im going to have to go out and buy a new powered hub as well. Although not alot of money its just inconvenient as you thought this would have been inclusive. Which incidently my friend who bought it on the xbox said his did!! I thought my original hub was faulty and got the shop to replace it but it still didnt work. Definately needs the power supply to work.

A friend of mine had the same issue with his ps3 and world tour. He needed the powered usb hub, as the ps3 just couldn't supply the power to the hub. But we haven't had any issues with power since i got the powered hub, which is great...Good luck with it :)
