Hardware Differences?

I keep hearing about different versions of the hardware.. wondering if we should start up a pictoral view of the different parts so folks can try to identify their controller and so forth? I've heard of at least 2 or 3 different guitars and drums, but no clue how to distinguish them from the descriptions on the boards.

If I get a chance tonight I'll take some digital shots of my hardware and post them up.
