PS3 controller won't work in RB2

Okay, this may have been asked and answered in other places, and if so, I'm sorry -- I did a search but couldn't find anything. Perhaps my search string was poorly worded, I dunno.

So, when I start RB2 up with the PS3 controller, it works perfectly fine. And I can turn on other instruments afterwards and use them, as well, without problem.

The issue appears when I boot RB2 with my wireless drums. At that point, I can turn on and use my guitar at any point. Not a problem. But if I turn on a controller (want to sing), though the PS3 of course recognizes it, the game won't recognize it. None of the buttons work, aside from the PS button, which doesn't do me any good. I have to reboot the game using the controller to be able to sing.

Has this issue been discussed? Addressed?

People have stated some problems regarding the microphone, but they are usually because the person has the mic plugged in without having a controller on or the controller on without having the mic plugged in.
