Profile assignment

How do I get my profile to be assigned to the guitar? I mostly play the guitar but my profile keeps getting assigned to my controller (and therefore the mic) so I'm not getting my achievements and whatnot.

Use the xbox button to work with profiles. When you press the xbox key on your controller, you have the option of signing into profiles. If you have the profile assigned on mic while you want to play drums, first sign the mic's controller off by pressing the xbox button then the blue x button. Next, sign on the drums by using the xbox button on the drums and signing into the appropriate gamertag.
