Songs with the bass pedal on the "off" beats - hitting a bass note when my arms aren't hitting a note is a mental block that I'm currently struggling with. But a lot of the easy songs kicked my ass when I first started on drums, so I'll get it in time.

Metallica - Blackened

I feel like I'm doing it right but my meter just drops and drops and drops and then fails me :(

The funny thing is I can do some songs better on expert than on hard like Foreplay/Longtime for example.

yeah Foreplay/Long Time I have a really hard time with the alternating red and green+bass notes during the foreplay intro. The very very very end of (Don't) Fear the Reaper also gives me trouble and I usually fail at 92% if I don't have any overdrive. If you played this song you'll know what i'm talking about.

Go With The Flow on Hard, Vasoline on Hard.

Oddly enough, I suck at Enter Sandman on Medium but I get 95% + on Hard.

Next to You. It's like insanity pasted onto a fretboard.

I know exactly what you're talking about. It took me and my cousin at least an hour to beat Foreplay/Longtime on hard.

i didnt have troubles with anything on last set list except run to the hills which i still cant beat otherwise got lucky on rest of songs and beat it first try, next to you i didnt feel like i was doing good at all but meter kept green and same with foreplay

and Enter Sandman all time favorite song on drums i can play it easier on expert then medium lol but im best at it on hard i think i am ranked top 20 on that song unless some peps got better score then me in the past 2 hours

Run to the hills.

It's the only song I haven't beaten on my first, or at worst, second try.

I tried practice, etc, and eventually just lucked out. It's a mofo and tiring as hell.

Run to the hills.

Same for me.

The most percentage I've gotten is 62%.

Is there some sort of trick? Or do I just have to pick the beat up by playing it 100 times.

Won't get fooled again.
I cannot get to the end of this song and I am a drummer!!! Man this song is killer yet I get about a 95 to 98% on Run to the hills on Expert. I fail won't get fooled again about 85% throough.

Ugh, Fallout Boy - Dead on Arrival on expert. I'm having the same problem of hitting the bass pedal when my arms aren't hitting anything.

I'm having this problem too, all you real drummers out there, any recommendations on things to do to get past this, the mental wall analogy is really a good one for this, i can do stuff that's on beat, or even stuff where other parts are offbeat, as long as it isn't the bass drum...i just fall apart :(
