Here's a point that no one has made yet:
What does Fender think about having their name/endorsement tied to the piece of junk guitar? I know that if I was in the PR/Marketing department at Fender, I would be absolutely furious about the poor craftsmanship of the controller. I know that when I see a brandname tied to a quality product, I am more likely to buy more products from that company, and consequently when I see a brandname on a product that is sub-standard, I will generally stay away from ALL products with that brand name. I know that in this case, there is absolutely no direct tie between an actual Fender guitar and the chinese crap plastic controller, but it still may make some people think twice.....
just my 2 cents.

I'm sure they didn't know there would be problems beforehand.

Apparently you two are the only ones who have guitars with strum bars that work.

Seconded. By far the best plastic guitar I've ever touched. The Les Paul is second but just can't hold a candle to Strat IMO.

Oh my god, can you stop going in every thread because you have a faulty guitar? Tough luck. Get over it. Keep it in the Tech Support forum.

For those whose guitars have not broken yet give it a little time. A poll running on IGN shows that over 50% of those who purchased this game already have a broken down strum.

The strum bar is pretty much crap, mine got jammed a few days ago so bad I couldn't play for a few hours until it got unstuck, not fun....

Is 35 hours on expert enough time? Do you think I'm in the clear?

My point was that this has to be a HUGE embarrassment for Fender. Obviously they did not see the final mockup of the controller because they wouldn't have lent their endorsement for a junk controller

Do you think Gibson is happy that the Les Paul had so many problems too? Apparently, it's a bad thing to attach your name to a toy guitar.

Does this mean that the problems MIGHT be fixed for Canadians who did not cross the border and are receiving it at Christmas time?
If so, booyah.

There is a better chance. I'm sure some problems will pop up, but it might be to less of a degree. The people in Europe though should be thrilled. A lot of these bugs will be worked out by the time the game gets to them.

Ahhhhh, so many threads about broken Stratocasters! I miss some notes sometimes... is my strum broken, is it half broken, should I open it and do a DIY repair, is it all in my head? AHHHHHH!!!
I love you people.

Meh, it's broken by design. Even when the strum functions as intended it feels like crap. And, the failure rate of the Les Paul is far lower from what I've seen in both forums. Bottoms line is I own a PS3 and all I want is to use my Les Paul on this game, I hate this pile of donkey dung Strat.
Oh, and I will never buy a real Strat ever.
I lied, I will buy one if I have the money. I love Strats. Stupid endorsement making me call them names.
