free song downloads for RB2

I'm sure we are doing something wrong, but what? we got the first song to download for free, after that, none will download (without charge). what we did was in the song store selected the song, entered the code, and it worked. the code is now displaying an invalid code error, and attempting to download new songs is requiring spending points.

not sure if it matters, but it is for the xbox 360

Downloading songs does cost points except for the special free songs. What song are you trying to download for free?

tom sawyer by rush is the one that worked,
fortunate sun by CCR is the one that did not

You can only use each free download code once. Are you trying to use a different code?

i am using the same code, we were only given one code, but it claims to be good for 20 song downloads

Oh, that's the misunderstanding.

I'm not sure how you downloaded Tom Sawyer for free. That code didn't do that.

The 20 free DLC code lets you download a special pack of 20 songs that are not otherwise available in the music store.

Go into your game. You have (or will have when the download completes) 20 new tracks.

Ok, I'm in the same boat here. Where do you find these free songs. I only found 4 songs that are free. Yes I got the email and downloaded one song but now the code doesn't work.

If you enter your 20 free download code, it will automatically download the 20 free pack. You don't get to pick and choose your songs.

There might be something to be considered:
US customers have to register with a code here to download the pack.

European users simply go into the Xbox Live Marketplace, chose "Redeem Code" and enter the 25 char code on the back of their manual.


The "nice and funny" part is, that NOWHERE does it state that it is for the bonus songs. It's worded like it's meant to download the RB2 songs to the HDD. Which it doesn't do.

So... Booo! on the person who wrote/worded the European manuals.
