Using Ions on Garageband

So I found tutorials on how to hook up a RB1 drums up to the mac and Garageband using Gamepad controller Xbox360 controllers, but this won't work for my ion drums

Can anyone help me get a driver or some software to hook up my ions to my Mac?

Have you tried putting it through the rockband1 4-usb thing? It's the white bar that has 4 female USB slots and 1 male; also it needs to be plugged into the wall.
