View Full Version : UK early adopter - covered by warranty?

I'm in the UK, and didn't want to wait until March (!) for Rock Band, so I paid a somewhat extortionate fee to import the (region free) PS3 version. It arrived today, and - fantastic! - I'm having the dreaded strum bar problem (though unlike most people here, mine is far too tight, rather than too loose - I still have the problem with it not registering downstrums properly though.) It makes the game pretty much unplayable on expert - and having played the Guitar Hero games to death, I don't want to be playing on anything below expert.
Basically, I want to know, am I covered by the warranty? And if not, what the heck am I supposed to do? Even if I am covered by the warranty, sending my guitar back will be a nightmare, but it's better than having a basically non-functional guitar.

no, you are not covered by the warrenty, the only thing u can do, is see if the person u bought it from is willing to send away to get u a new guitar and then send that to you. otherwise u will need to wait till the release of the game in UK and return it to them.

Before I get really irritated and start cursing EA / Harmonix's name here, can I see your source for this please? I'd like to see some proof that this is actually correct.
[EDIT] Just tried using the support website, and it'd seem you're correct. Good bloody job, EA / Harmonix: kick the customers who've shown you the most dedication firmly in the teeth. Thanks a lot.
