Anyone make the jump to expert drums

if they started on medium? I finally did on a bunch of songs in BWT.
some songs i can do pretty easily.
most my bandmates need to bail me out once or twice.
some require a lot of bailing out
a few are completely hopeless "im looking at you run to the hills :mad:)

I can do some songs on expert pretty easily, (Black Hole Sun, Say it Aint So, In Bloom, and a few more.. but I am still working on hard to perfect it.)

I started on medium too. I am surprised how fast you can learn things!

But thats it. I am still working on getting hard down.

yup same here. only thing giving me troulbe are rolls, can't quit do them well yet

I can do small rolls of about 2-5 but anything more is too tough for me!! DANGIT lol

I just got 99% on I think Im Paranoid and 98% on Say it Aint So on expert.. I know those are warmups, but for someone who never played drums.. I bet if you put a drum kit in front of me I could play those two songs lol!

I was playing the drums on hard and making some progress (made it to Stockholm), but I have hit a wall... it seems that I am going to have to change my style of using the kick to be able to hit fast notes

I have been playing heel-stomp style with my whole foot resting on it between beats.... but I tried some of the really hard songs on expert (through quick play) and the independence/speed just isn't there.

I also tried playing an easy song with my eyes closed (Think I'm Paranoid by Garbage) and I absolutely suck.

I've come a lot less far in the past week than I thought I had. :( I think the only way forward is to learn the beats like a real drummer would. I practice the verse and chorus to Celebrity Skin for about 20 min and still didn't' really get any better at it.

I have a hard road ahead of me for sure.

what we new non-drummers have to remember is that the pads simulate the other toms and cymbals we don't have present.

oh what would i give for multiple set support though
