I just received the Rock Band 2 Special Edition bundle for Christmas, for Xbox 360.

The batteries are in both my guitar, and drum set. I click the buttons to turn them on, and the green blinking lights go on. All four of the little green circle lights are blinking at once, I don't know if that makes a difference. But when I try to play with them, the game is still saying "connect instrument." It's not picking up the signal from them. Am I doing something wrong? I'm playing about two feet away from the Xbox 360.

(The microphone works fine, btw.)

I thought it was just my guitar because it makes this rattling noise when you move it, but then I noticed my drums won't connect either. Can anyone help me? This is my first time playing, and I'm dissapointed.

for the guitar press the xbox guide button to turn on the controller. make sure the xbox 360 is on. there is a small white button next to it. press and hold it

then next to the memory slot on the console press and hold the button. the ring of light should be spinning on the guitar

keep holding it until the guitar is in one of the four quadrants

repeat for drum set (not sure where the button is though since I dont have one)

I am having the same problem, and I know what I am doing with the instruments, I've had a 360 for three years. My last set that broke after the 60-day period have just been replaced with another set of trash. I am getting extremely fed up with these crappy chinese instruments that cost $100 to replace.
