This is sort of old news, since they were mostly released back in August or around there, but those, along with Are You Afraid Of The Dark, Adventures of Pete and Pete, Clarissa Explains It All, and a few others, are available now.
I purchased Hey Arnold! Season 1. Can't wait to get it.
P.S. These DVDs are exclusive to Amazon.com.

Oh man, Rocko's Modern Life and Doug were among my favorite shows growing up. And the early seasons of Are You Afraid Of The Dark were pretty awesome too.

I thought I'd make myself feel better and note I posted that on Fennz's computer. Anyway - buy some stuff. Maybe with good sales we'll see shows like Rugrats, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Guts, Etc.

Ahh.
Old Nick shows. What I wouldn't give for that to come back. I miss the 90's.

Nothing more epic than old Nickelodeon. Rugrats, Hey Arnold, Double Dare, Guts, Legenda of the Hidden Temple, Figure it Out, Kenan and Kel, All That, You're On... all that's meh now is Drake and Josh... even Little Bear, Franklin, Gumby, Gullah Gullah Island and Clarissa Explains it all were okay to watch. Rockos Modern Life, Ren and Stimpy, Doug, the list doesn't end.

You had me all excited about Rocko on DVD~ and then I found out that the episodes are cut and they are DVD-R's, which means I don't even know if I could play them on my Xbox. Also, why do they call it the Best of Rocko Volume 1 when all the episodes are from the first season?

They brought back Guts. Except it's all family-ized. Now it sucks...

Warning: Long post about how nerdy and childish I am, and how many kids shows I actually still enjoy
Actually I will say Nick and Cartoon network have gotten slightly better over the last 2 years or so. The start of the decade they were god awful. I mean there not that great anymore like the 90s, but the last few years have brought a couple of good shows from the various channels of our childhood.
I watch my cousin like 2 or 3 times a month so I watch alot of cartoons and kids shows with him, so ive been catching up with whats been new these last few years and there are some real good shows hanging around
Fairly Odd Parent's Writing is STILL smart as the day is aired (Ive ALWAYS loved FOP. It may be Nick's finest show in 10 years). I never liked the Ben 10 show (bad gimmick with annoyingly cliche kids as characters) but the alien force continuation reminds me alot of the Batman Animated series, and takes itself much more serious. I cant not think of Colonel Campbell from Metal gear though when I hear their Grandpa talk, as Paul Eiding Does the same voice for both characters. Nick had a live action show called Ned's Declassified Guide to school survival or something like that, and when I saw that i thought it was the stupidest show anyone could ever make. Then I watched an episode with my cousin, and the show is LITERALLY Scrubs in middle school. Right down to a ridiculous janitor. It ended its run a few months ago apparently though. Never saw alot of it, but what I saw, it was pretty creative. Today for the 1st time actually, i saw an ad for a show that could be good. The Penguins of Madagascar. Which is exactly what it sounds like. Those less than savory penguins from the 2 Madagascar movies are getting their own show, which i think is great, as they were easily the most entertaining part of those movies. ill have to look for that next year. and even spongebob is getting better. Spongebob used to be a bad show. Like really bad. But i think Nick has finally learned how bad of a character Spongebob himself actually is, and how great every single supporting character of the show is, and they have now been actually making episodes about the characters with spongebob just being a character whose there
Ive always been a fan of Teletoon's original cartoons ever since I saw Braceface when I was like 11 or something, so Ive always checked up on what they do every few years and this year they brought Total Drama Island to the states (it originally ran in Canada Last year) and I thought that may have been the most original TV show (and not just cartoon) Ive seen all this year. They followed up with its success by bringing its other show called 6teen, which has been around for a while in canada, to the us. Its a solid show. Kinda dull on the story but good characters, and a great art style. Speaking of shows with great style, Chowder is absolutely fantastic. Its use of still masking patterns and puppetry narrations and settings reminds me of the muppets meet roger rabbit or something. I hope this show stays around. Flapjack on the other hand, I hope get canceled. That show is just a bad spongebob knockoff
With all the good coming from Cartoon Network and Nick, I wish I could say the same about Disney. While Hannah Montana has been making them literally Billions with the tween crowd, its not doing much to keep its previous age group interested. Terrible live action shows that are just GOD AWFUL and lame cartoons (tough props for them re-airing recess episodes at 3 in the morning. That was a fantastic show) Disney's Channel hasn't been worth watching since they ended Kim Possible last year (dont get me started on how much I freaking loved Kim Possible. It may be the best cartoon this decade. with MAYBE only FOP being the only show i enjoy more). They had a decent chance with Emperor's New School and the replacements, that both weren't great shows but mildly enjoyable, but ENS has been canceled (it was in a state of limbo for the last month or so, but Following Eartha Kitt's death last week, its been permanently canceled) and the replacements doesnt seem like a show that will stay long.
So theres my long rant about Kids TV shows current state

Are you kidding? Spongebob used to be a great show, but as of the past few years, it's been terrible. It went from witty and humorous to annoying and moronic.

Yeah, Spongebob was hilarious, but now, it seems to be losing it's joy.

Ch. 129 Comcast Nicktoons channel has taken a dump, and it's virtually now just a Nick 2... It used to have classics, now it's just garbage.
Nothing more epic than old Nickelodeon. Oh my god..
Keenan and Kel. I remember that too well. That show was Drake and Josh X 10.

I would have bought RML but they're DVD-R's and they are cut. Maybe if Nick sees that a lot of people are buying these dvd's that they'll release an official box-set.

I have no idea~ but that's what quite a few reviewers said. Maybe they decided to release the episodes as they aired them.

Rugrats and Arnold were amazing.
I remember watching rugrats so much with my cousin, we'd have the episodes memorized and watch them in spanish and know what they were saying.

Why could it possibly have taken so long for these shows to make it to DVD?
Now I know what I'm going to be spending my disposable income on for the next few months.
