Game won't launch

Has anyone had issues getting the game to launch? It is new and has not yet been played as it will not load...

We bought rockband for our ps2, and the game won't play. It won't read the disc, but all our other games work just fine. I called the company, waited 38 minutes then was hung up on. I emailed them twice and still they have not responded. This is crap! What are we to do? :confused:
