Anybody here in the top twenty bands listed on Live? Our band is called Malaekahana, and we're currently ranked at number 11. This game is awesome! We can't wait for the next batch of songs to be available.

My band was #56 on Dani California on Saturday night. Looking forward to the community site getting launched as it should make tracking that stuff a little better than flumbling through the leaderboard stuff in the game (it's a little... clumsy.. time consuming.. would be nice to get a summary report or something.. but the website will do just fine).

I'd like to see top 20 on score duel too. Haven't been able to log in and look since I started playing. Stupid business trips.

We made it to #6 last night in the fan ratings, but I'm guessing we've dropped a few spots since we haven't played since then. Now that the guitar is having strum issues, we'll have to wait until our replacement arrives.

Our band, That's What She Said, made it to #10 last night.

Some of those numbers are getting pretty absurd - 72mil? And I thought Georgiaboyz' old score was high. :(

seriously, how the hell do you guys get so many fans so quickly?

How many hours did it take to get to 33 million fans?

Our 4 person band got to 260,000 in 2 hours and now we can't get any more.

Congrats on helping show the absurdity of the system.

My all expert band, 4 people, only gets like 50,000 per 3-5 song set

so I still don't get how theyre gaining fans so rapidly.

yeah, how does the awarding of fans work!?!? I'm so confused.

Umm.. playing 24/7? In otherwords, "no life"?

What is your current fan total? Unfortunately there's no solid info on how this works right now, but here's what fits the data I've gathered so far:

- You gain more fans as you get "bigger", up to a certain point. We got the jet the first night we played and beat endless on medium the next day, so I can't talk about anything before that point, but I would assume that you will steadily ramp up in fans gained as you play until you reach around 6-8 million.

- I believe the maximum total fans given for any song/set is 1.1 million. Right now, any "new" (first play) set gives our band either 384k fans, 768k fans, or 1.1 million fans.

- Later cities seem to give higher totals, but can cap out, or perhaps they just don't give many points if you replay them. Or, maybe individual sets have fan caps.

An example: we played the Highway Star single in Reykjavik for the first time and got the DVD offer (5* for 3x the fans). We made 3 mil fans from that one song. The next day, we replayed it (no DVD offer) and got only 100k. So replays are definitely worth less.

Another example: we played Make Your Own in San Fran's Alice cafe, got 9/10 *, and made 768k. We played Make Your Own again, got another 9/10 *, and made another 768k. Yesterday, we played Make Your Own in Alice's cafe and got zero fans. This seems to be either the set, the venue, or the city capping out.

Hopefully we can all figure out exactly how the fans are awarded. Regardless of what JVeeVee might imply, I guarantee you no one is getting 30 million fans by playing songs for 50k a pop.

See that makes no sense to me.

Idk i have never even seen anything close to 3 million fans. The most i've seen for me personally is around 100,000. and thats on expert, getting nearly full stars. I'm at 925,000 right now, with a steady pace of 50,000 per 3 song set .

Hmm... What cities are you playing in? Cities later in the game (Reykjavik, Moscow, Tokyo, etc.) should give more points than early cities (Chicago, Boston, etc.) Note that those cities are just examples, we started in Chicago so that's our "lowest" city. Your starting city will probably change what city is "last" for your band.

One other note that I have personally confirmed: the larger the setlist, the lower the fans per song. Playing larger setlists is not the way to get more fans (although my band is pretty much stuck doing that, since we've played almost everything under 4 songs.)

Singles and 2-song setlists seem to be the best way to get fans. I would try playing 1-2 song setlists in a few different cities around the world and see if you notice any big differences in fans given.

haha thats what she said! my band was looking at that and thought it was a cool name, and we also liked "clean up on isle BADAZZ". yea my band hasnt got together since last saturday so we got a lot of catching up to do. i can't remember what we were at last somewhere mid 30million and so far we are not sure what we are going to end up on. we are not even half way finished with the tour, and we have some weak venues that don't have full stars from letting some other friends play. i like to get fans but it just takes so LONG to finish every gig and basically we are only doing it for fans and maybe achievements, since its better go lower difficulties to score high on leaderboards. see and theres another flaw in the game that will never be accepted in a forum because the norm lower difficulty players won't back us up. people playing all on medium that get 98-100% score just as high on some songs as expert that's 97-100% and thats so much BS.

most fans i've gotten for a gig, or single song was anywhere from 2-3million, lol. and i probably got the same for doing the whole westcoast marathon with all 5 stars.

how many fans do you get from endless setlist? or even eastcoast?

me and the wife's band dextromethorphan hydrobromide is at 42 million fans but we havent been able to log into rock central to update since the 23rd :( Her profile can log in fine if my controller isnt logged in when we start the game up but it still wont upload the scores for some reason.. Guessing it has something to do with the band being on my profile that cant log in.

Until the guitar broke, my girlfriend and I would play for hours on end. As for how many? Let's just say a lot. A bunch of late evenings in a row. One thing I noticed though is after being inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame, we earned a lot more fans per gig, which I guess raises your profile quite a bit. Ace-ing a couple of songs these days can get us over 500,000 fans.

Ha! We've seen your band in the charts quite a bit and have had some fun trying to pronounce your name. :D

We've noticed weird issues connecting to "Rock Central" and having our score update as well. They should put out a patch to fix that. It can become a real pain trying to figure out who needs to sign in first etc. just to see the leaderboards.
