I plugged in my iPod Nano into my 360 and it's only showing some of the artists. It's showing all the albums I own and uploaded to iTunes. But all of the songs I bought from iTunes aren't showing up?

Can anyone help here?

The songs you purchased from iTunes are in AAC format (not MP3) and are DRM protected so that they can only play on your iPod and iTunes.

Soo..

I can't play the songs I bought off iTunes on my iPod?

My friend said he downloaded some stupid progam awhile back that lets him. It was supported by Microsoft or something. Can I just download the songs I bought off iTunes to my 360's Hard Drive?

I'm getting 259 songs right now. Half of them being Beatle songs.

And I have a total of 400 + songs.

No. The "program" from Microsoft was likely just the media update, that lets you play unprotected tracks off an iPod. There's no way to play protected AAC tracks (those from the iTunes store) unless you remove the DRM on your computer. No, I don't know how to do that, other than burning them to an audio CD and then ripping it again.

Edit: There is also no way to copy tracks from an iPod or other removable media device on to the Xbox hard drive. The only way is to rip from CD.

Whenever I buy something off iTunes that's not iTunesPlus, I always burn a CD/rip it to ditch the DRM. Lose some quality, but I'd rather not be hassled. This may not be a viable option for 400+ songs, but could be a quick fix to get some of your favorites on there.

That's really laym.

So I guess my friend is just lying? He told me I had to install Windows Media Player 11 and then I could do it. Don't know where he's getting that from. I'll try to burn the CD's, but that'll take awhile. I thought my Dad was gonna back-up all the songs on Discs anyways, so I can just do that.

Thanks guys.

This is one of the reasons why I try to avoid using the iTunes store. I only get tracks from there if I can't find them anywhere else. If you buy from iTunes, you can only play the songs in iTunes, on an iPod, or on an Apple TV. There are no other devices supported, period. Legally, you can only defeat the DRM by buring to a CD and ripping it, which reduces the (already low, in my opinion) quality of the track. You can crack the DRM, but that's illegal and, last I checked, a pretty big pain in the ass in its own right. **** sucks.
