A mere 6 hours of using their supplied guitar (which does look cool and feels fine once you get used to it) started creating issues with their down strum and after switching to up strumming, that too started acting up.
Mic works fine as far as I know, I was able to get through the Solo tour on hard with the mic, and the drums seem to work fine so far (only played about an hour on the drums).
I wasn't really worried about this issue thinking that my guitar was a "bad apple" and the replacement would work fine, but seeing how so many other people are having issues with their instruments, my hopes have severely dropped. Frankly I'd rather wait longer and have them send a properly functioning, durable guitar than getting another weak guitar. Or perhaps if they can work things out with Activision and Red Octane they can send us GH3 guitars, since apparently their guitar works fine.
One big issue that I fear is that if it takes them too long to send me a new guitar, and IF that happens to break as well and I repeat the process of returning their guitar for a new one, eventually the 60-day warranty will expire. What then? Hopefully EA/Harmonix will give us a fresh 60 days every time they send a new instrument.
And since it's a widespread issue, they really should just redesign their instruments to make them sturdier before just giving disappointed gamers another flawed instrument. I've already heard stories of 2nd guitars breaking down so that's not very promising.
Well that's that. Just out of curiosity, has anyone played more than 6 hours with their guitar and/or drum and have them working fine?
