Axeman and at least 3 others on the Guitarhero Community site said this, a friend of mine who is usually 85% of the time correct told me this, can someone confirm if Rock Band will be releasing more Metallica...? I buy all the GH/RB titles (excluding the DS platforum games) and im going to buy GH:Metallica but if RB is going to be releasing some i gotta know so i can save some of my Christmas money for my PSN Wallet. I heard something about one of the Harmonix employed community mods saying that they have more tracks and still plan on releasing them, but I don't believe it.

Well, they did put Battery on RB2, GH:Metallica has been in the works since after the release of Aerosmith...I hope that Mod is correct.

I think the number was like 12, I really don't care for Metallica but I don't mind if they release it.

While nothing is ever really confirmed until it's confirmed around this place, the general message we're getting from HMX employees is that they have more tracks and will eventually release them... someday.
Maybe.
And I can't wait.

2009 will be a long time for DLC releases. Anything can happen :)

I sure hope they have more tracks. I know they cant get anymore than what they already have, but if they put out anything they already have, id be happy.

And even though I doubt it'll happen, it'd be great if they release the live version of Fade To Black from Cunning Stunts. I've always loved the way they play it live better than the album version. Album version is fast on the clean parts and slows down a bit in the heavy parts.. live version is opposite and the clean part sounds SO much better played slower IMO

Considering they licensed 18 songs from Metallica... We've had 5 released so far....
I would imagine that the other 13 were slated for DLC throughout the year, but with the announcement of GH-M, HMX decided to sit on them in order to offset the largeness of GH-M.
As much as it sucks for the consumer, it's a smart business decision. Think about it. Your competitor goes around loudly boasting that they have an exclusive with Metallica, and all of a sudden at the time of the climatic launch of the big game, your competitor comes out with a pack of the same thing. While it may not dent sales of GH-M, it would be yet another dent in the credibility of Activision's word.

That'd be friggin sweet. Any confirmation on that "HMX Licensed 18 Metallica songs" thing?
