First off I would like to say that I have been very good to my drums. I play them light and the only other person who plays them plays light as well. Also, my warranty is up and my wife threw the receipt away because the warranty is up. So I am very pissed.

I came home from work today and went to play my drums for a little relaxation. I go to Freeplay mode and start tapping on my hi-hat (yellow) cymbal and “NOTHING”. I got the Madcatz cymbals for x-mas. I plugged the yellow one and green one in and haven’t unplugged them since. So, there has been no plugging and unplugging of the cords. Anyway, I then unplugged it and plugged it back in and nothing. I then reset the kit from the control panel and the dongle and also reset the PS3 and still nothing. After this I started messing with the cord to see if there was a loose connection and when I would put pressure upward on the cord it would work. So, I took the control panel apart to see if I could fix it. When I pulled it apart a tiny piece of metal fell out. I look at the blue and green jacks and there is a tiny square hole where you can see the piece of metal. On the yellow jack, it is missing. So what this tells me is, it was probably faulty craftsmanship and when I plugged the cord in for the first time it probably broke the metal off and the vibration of playing probably knocked it out. Now the jack doesn’t work at all, pressure or not.

This really sucks big time. I spend my hard earned money on this stuff, treat it very well and this is how I am repaid. So I am stuck with a broken kit. Yeah, everything else still works and I can use the cymbals in the green and blue jacks but I had planned to buy a third and have the full set.

If anyone has an extra jack they wouldn’t mind getting rid of, please PM me. I know, I know, fat chance, right? It was worth a try. Or, if anyone knows of a fix for this, please let me know. Any help would be appreciated.

By the way, EA, your 60 day warranty is a load of sh!t. But I guess we all already know that.
