Can Not save characters in non-Live profiles

HELP!!!!!! If I log into a non xbox live profile, it will allow you to create a character, but will not save it!! Not very fun when your kids can't make thier own rock stars...

Works fine for me... The UI is very kludgy though, when picking the characters

SO you can create a character in a non-live profile and save it? I get this messed up message... Let me put it in and try it.....

OK, I log out of my live account and lof in with another non-live account and create a character and try to save it and I get this message.

" Saving has failed for an unknown reason. Selected storage device is no longer available."

Makes no sense.

Try creating an offline profile, and then starting Rockband using your offline profile. I'm a complete Live noob, and haven't created a Live profile yet, so everything RB for me is under my offline profile. No probs so far. And when I do the BWT, characters were created under the player 2, player 3, etc profiles (ie. no profile) w/ no problems.

Have you tried creating Xbox live silver profiles for the kids? It might work.
